Santa Barbara Recs for this Sunday

My cousin and I are going to see Bourdain & Ripert this Sunday at the Arlington and need recs for dinner following the lecture. We're meeting up with 2 other friends who are also attending the event (one who's not eating meat at the moment, the other a carnivorous foodie like my cousin and I). We just want good food, atmosphere doesn't really mean much to us if the food totally sucks.

Thanks!

Sunday is a problem - not all might be open - please check:

Julienne, if it has not already been booked is your first choice. The foodie crowd will be out that day and probably already have made their choices.

The Arlington Theater is right in our restaurant ground zero so if you walk a few blocks in any direction you will find any number of choices so wander and see what looks good to you: Downey's, buchon, Oilo et Limone, Arigato, Hungry Cat, Ca Dario, Opal, Carlitos, Tupelo Junction, Saigon In and Out, Petit Valentin** (**for food and location in La Arcada Court), Louie's in the Upham Hotel also **.

Few places in SB "totally suck". And going up State street to the San Roque area near Las Positas will bring you a number of very good choices too: Jade, Brummis, Via Maestra 42, Renaud's-early afternoon closure

Try Spiritland for vegan. And there are two new vegetarian places opening on Lower Chapala. A sleeper that will be open on Sunday is Las Aves in the Encina Lodge and Crocodile in the Lemon Tree Inn.
