London help requested

Next week we will be taking out some friends who live near south wimbledon (but convenient to the train) , and are going to meet us at the restaurant of our choice. They are vegetarians, but the restaurant doesn't have to be so long as it is vegetarian friendly. They've asked us to pick although we are not natives (they are not food people) and I thought I'd come here for recommendations for somewhere delicious, where we can have excellent food and wine and enjoy a relaxed (neighborhood) type atmosphere, and where they can have food that suits them as vegetarians. Price is not a big cocern. We will be staying in the Canary Wharf area, but we are intending to try to meet them somewhere sort of in between. Thanks very much for help with a very specific inquiry

  1. Sorry for the late reply, but there's a perfectly OK branch of the Thai Square chain near South Ken tube. I regularly take a veggie pal to the City branch and he finds it fine. I like their fried Bass with herbs & spices.

How about NOPI? It has Fish, Meat, vegies, good drinks, small plates for sharing, beautiful surroundings, nice people. Get the pineapple sage martini, the artichokes, the aubergine, the rice pudding...what could be bad? (I am sure someone will tell me!)
