Marea-lounge vs. dining room?

I am taking my husband to Marea for our anniversary and the only table I was able to get was in the Lounge. If you have been there recently, is the Lounge very separated from the main dining room, and should I call back to see if they can accomodate us in the main dining room? I heard it did not have the same ambiance as the dining room and should try to get into the dining room since it was a special occasion...
