Cheese in Denver

I am looking for a good restaurant with a decent cheese plate in the Denver area. Preferably in the Denver West/Lakewood/Golden area, but I am willing to travel a bit. I prefer something not overly fancy - I would like something more like a beer and cheese place than wine and cheese, aka more pub than fine dining. But beggars can't be choosers. Extra points if they have good grilled cheese or Mac and Cheese or other cheese dishes.

Thanks!

www.blackpearldenver.com A bit out of your way, but a good cheese plate and a great, grilled cheese, with brie, apples and currant sage pesto. I've had hit and miss luck at rootdowndenver.com Again a bit more East than the areas you mentioned. The cheese plates I've had were good there, a bit more basic, but great combinations...however, the last two times, I was there, they were out of several. On the plus side, the brought us what they had, complete with sides (fruit, crackers, chocolate) both times and didn't charge us, but I would have rather they had the cheese options and gladly paid for it.
