Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Manhattan

No reservations Friday night-Midtown

We won't be arriving to the Times Square W until around 8:00 PM on Friday. We have dinner reservations around Manhattan for Sat, Sun and Mon. However, we are playing it by ear Friday night. We'd like to stay in the Midtown area for cocktails and maybe a late dinner or snack.

Knowing my wife, she'll probably want to find a place serving noodles after a few hours of cocktails. Any suggestions for drinks, dinner without reservations, and/or noodle places in the Midtown area?

    1. For cocktails, there has been a recent resurgence of downtown mixologists doing hotel and other midtown bars. Some ideas:
44 at the Royalton Hotel with a list done by famous bartenders from all over
Lamb's Club has drinks by Sasha Petraske
Lanyern's Keep in the Iroquois Hotel by Meghan from Raines Law Room
