Al Pastor Torta! near Joshua Tree

Leaving the Salton Sea and headed to Joshua Tree NP we passed through Mecca. This is a good stop for Mexican Food ... we stopped for a torta at Taco Time Mexican Grill which is right across the street from Toro Loco which also looked promising - and I think there were more options as well.
Taco Time Mexican Grill is not related to a chain called Taco Time as far as i know ? But in any event, we got two tortas: one carnitas and one al pastor. $4.50@ We ate them on the road leading to Joshua Tree ..... the Al Pastor was our favorite - nicely seasoned meat that came through all the other components. The bread held together but was not so massive that it dominated. The carnitas was OK but paled in comparison to the AP.
