Villa Restaurant Bloor West Village- Toronto West.

Villa Restaurant Bloor West Village:

Even though we reserved ahead we were squashed in somewhere in the center of the resaurant. The food service was slow, the waitress was strangely angry though seemed to warm up by the time we were leaving. (We were polite, smiled, said thank you ect. so I didn't think it had to do with us.) My meal was rather bland the pasta was slightly overcooked. My husband's meal was ok. The only think I could say was very good were the crabcakes.

The food was positively vile when I went. My pizza was so inedible I picked at a few toppings and left the rest untouched, my husband's cannelloni was appetizer sized (at about $16?), lukewarm and served with metallic tasting tomato sauce. I actually had to race home with an upset stomach after dinner!

We had a great night at Villa. We had a Groupon coupon.
I was particularly impressed with the selection of gluten free pastas. They even gave me a gluten free dinner roll. Bonus! We shared the antipasto platter. I had pasta (gluten free) and my husband had a pizza (sweet potatoe). We will definitely go back.
