There's your run of the mill Asian all-you-can-eat buffet in the plaza near the Big Y in Walpole - its a few doors up from the Good Food Store..

This one isn't bad. not good, but not horrid.. sort of in the same vein as the 2-item combo in the Asian place in terminal B at Logan. Now the Indian buffet up the road a few miles, that's pretty tasty. .. near the Chateau restaurant..

I agree on the Natick location. Their tandoori salmon is so good, so spicy and succulent, it's worth dealing with the surly waiters! ;)

Once upon a time people recommended the lunch buffet at Southeast Asian in Lowell, but by the time I managed to get up there it was pretty mediocre. But the food was hot and spicy, at least. I'd be willing to give it another chance closer to the actual luncheon hour.

Decent asian buffet Bamboo inside the Holiday Inn Dedham. The nearest decent pho is Pho #1 in Randolph, Pho Hoa in Quincy, Pho Yuen Dong in Quincy, Pho Le inside Atrium Mall.

Thanks joebloe, I think i'm gonna try Bamboo tonight and Pho Le/Pho #1 tomorrow. Any good recommendations for authentic Sichuan cuisine near the area??

Sichuan Gourmet, 388 South Main St. in Sharon is excellent and only 10 minutes from Norwood. They have only been there for a month or two but if you search the board you'll see that their other locations in Billerica, Framingham, and Brookline all get a lot of love here! I have been there three times since it opened and hope it succeeds. The location has never had a successful restaurant in my 20 years in the area.

I asked and Sichuan Gourmet does not have a buffet, for a very good reason: quality control. They just don't want their food potentially sitting around for hours before you eat it.

That said, they have some of the best Asian food anywhere, do try them.

Agreed Ora, thats why I'm not a big fan of buffets of any type except when I'm especially gluttonous! The OP followed up looking for good sichuan in the same area, and Sichuan Gourmet in Sharon is the only one I'm familiar with. I'm grateful that I no longer need to travel to brookline when I need some heat! Any other good sichuan in the area that I may have overlooked?
