Switzerland - Lucerne and Wengen

We will be spending 3 days in each of Lucerne and Wengen this July. Looking for suggestions for lunch and dinner. We aren't really on a tight budget but also don't want anything to exhorbitant. Thanks!

  1. I will be watching this thread- we will also be in Wengen in July!

    1. I will be traveling in Switzerland for a week in June, making stops in Lucerne and Wengen as well. Looking for suggestions for a couple awesome dinners!

      1. in Luzern we just walked by the promenade and walked in wherever looked good. food was solid everywhere but nothing spectacular. The city itself, and the promenade, is just such pure joy to walk. enjoy!

In Wengen, there is zum Baeren which I thought had the most interesting food, but again, just walk around and see for yourself what you like, these are not gastronomical destinations, but the food is solid most everywhere. again, what pure joy to walk in this village. Also consider kleine Scheidegg.

        Again, ENJOY!

        1. For a quick lunch, I really recommend's Mario's Paninoteca:

The owner is really nice, and the food is good! :)

          1. In Lucerne I highly recommend lunch at the Montana hotel - on the terrasse if it is sunny. Spectacular view and nice food.
If you do go there make sure to take the funicular up to the hotel - it is a nice little trip and free if I remember correctly.
