I threw a bone in butt portion hickory ham in the slow cooker this morning with about a cup of water. Think it will be okay in there for 10 hours?

  1. well, yes and no. Don't you hate it when you get an answer like that?
If you are referring to a legal, sanitary viewpoint, then yes, OK.
Problem: you state 'hickory ham', what the heck is that?
Is it fully cooked, like a supermarket ham?
    Is it a, gourmet, dry-cured ham ?
Well, yes and no; what do you wish to do with the finished product???
    Hmm??

    1. you have a crockpot big enough to fit a half ham??? good lord i didn't know they made them that big.

      1. I think it will be fine on low, but if it were my ham, I would add in a can of Coke! It makes a delicious ham. Be sure to use the full sugar coke, the diet coke does not work.
