Hi there
I will be in NYC for the weekend of the 15th of May with my company, and after a meeting at saturday lunchtime, we are looking for a good steakhouse, not touristic place, but something properly american with good steaks, burgers etc. for a good price.
We came from London.
Any good suggestion folks?
Thank you for your advices?

Bye
Teo

  1. Hi TeoHV. Welcome to both Chowhound and the Big Apple. I'd say Keens is your best bet:

      Thanks a lot ScoopG

    2. Another possibility is Smith & Wollensky's Grill. It shares a kitchen with the S&W restaurant but is more casual. Still great steaks, but also burgers and that wonderful roast beef hash.

2nd this. I like S&W more than Keens. do not miss their coconut cake too. My favorite steakhouse is Striphouse but I believe they don't do lunch.

I had one of the worst meals in recent memory at Ben & Jack's. Avoid.

          Keens
          Wolfgangs

Although not sure what a "good price" means to the OP.

Been going there years never a problem...what was so bad..it's a lugers knock off?

The food was awful, I mean every single thing we (a party of 4) ate. Including the steaks.
