Inaho, Yarmouth Port

I dont see any recent reviews, has anyone been lately?

I am getting a gift certificate for a dinner out, and this was suggested. Any thoughts?

  1. Food is still excellent. Door nazi still prevelant as well.

Lyric might also be a good choice as well. Their menu pricing has been relaxed a bit, no doubt due to the economy.

Ah, a door nazi? To the point of ruining a meal, or just trying to block you from a table without reservations, etc?

Lyric is where the old Abbicci's was?

She's the owner's wife and let's just say, her attitude is often less than welcoming. Whether she ruins the meal for you is probably mopre dependant on you I would think. Although it's annoying, I never let it go so far as to kill my mood.

Yes, Lyric is at the old Abbicci location. Very nice. Search this board and there's a few reports. There was even a coupon in a recent CC Times that offered a complete three course meal for the price of an entree, available everyday but Saturday. Perhaps you can find it.

Heading to Inaho tonight. I have been going there about 25+ years..always pay out 70+ and that's over 25 years...for a long time the wife and owner basically ignored me..had a bad experience on my b day about 15 years ago and boycotted the place for a long time. Now, I go back once a month. The food is basic simple sushi, no fancy rolls..the quality is impeccable and the service flawless. The room is usually chilly and the reception still chilly BUT the wife does thank me if I make eye contact and say goodbye first. Otherwise there is no greeting or salutation. I always have to initiate. I go for the food..not to be coddled or welcomed or is what it is, great sushi.

Any recent reviews? Same reception but good sushi? Daughter would like sushi for her birthday dinner. Asia in Mashapee? Anywhere new?

            Thanks in advance.

(The Sushi Cape Cod thread is very long and hasn't been updated, so I am posting here.)

No where new that I'm aware. Asia is very good, but Inaho has better food and ambiance. Mac's Shack in Welfleet is a totally different vibe entirely and a fun place with excellent sushi.

I have dined at Inaho and Mac's recently as well as Misaki. IMHO it is best to wait to dine at Mac's until mid week and then, eat very early around 5. They actually serve at 3 if you want a late lunch. The lines and wait are 1-2 hours during peak dinner hours. Inaho, same reliable high quality food. I do not dine there in the summer due to the crowds and their heavy take out business. I love Misaki's dinner Bento box. The best deal but I have not been since May as I don't go to Hyannis in the summer.

Misaki's Bento is certainly the best sushi value anywhere. It's only available from 4:30-6:00 however, but it's always terrific and so varied. I think it's only $17 and includes Miso soup, salad and ice cream for desert. The folks at Misaki are always welcoming and as friendly as can be.
