unacceptable service at Cafe Boulud

Lunch today a Cafe Boulud, where I have been many times. Service was unacceptably slow and awkward. Plates delivered to the wrong person at the table, twice. White wine served FREEZING cold, one course delivered and described by a person whose English was so heavily accented we could not understand what she was saying even after we asked her to repeat it. Cheeses served much too cold and not ready (and I was not satisfied with the selection on the cheese plate I was served - too many similar things). I could go on, but 'nuf said. I was disappointed and distracted from the very good food by the comedy of errors. Spent $300 for two, all in. Service should have been better. Much, much better.

Clearly, you should have worn your Swarovski crystal tiara and green shoes. Perhaps then you would have gotten acceptable service.

Joking aside - sorry to hear about bad service. Seems that Cafe Boulud often got higher marks from 'hounds than Daniel, no? At least the food was good.

Jolie was referring to another thread on this board asking about attire. gutsofsteel had told someone to wear a tiara and green shoes with her fushia dress, so it is just a joke.
