When does Chris McMillan(sp/) work?

naughtyb Apr 20, 2011 12:39 PM

I have seen some of his videos on YouTube about making different cocktails and know he works at MiLa. I just dont know when he works. I will be there Friday and Saturday and would love to stop in and have him make me a drink or 2. Thanks.

I've caught him several times on Saturday's when we've been in town to eat on that side of Canal. I try to make it our first (sometimes second if we're with a group) stop. He is at the bar at the Pere Marquette hotel adjacent to MiLa.

He's well "worth the price of admission" and finding a spot at the bar.

I think he works Weds - Sat nights at Bar Uncommon, the bar at the Pere Marquette next to MiLa. Agree he's worth waiting for seat at the bar to see in action, and to talk to him. Let him choose your cocktail - you won't be disappointed!

I assume you mean Wed thru Saturday nights? Just want to be sure. When do you think he gets there? I would love to have him make me a few drinks tomorrow some time before dinner. I really appreciate the replies!

Heworks at Bar Uncommon and it is a treat to see him work. I had a great Pisco Sour and then he made me a drink that I had never had before called Bramble. My wife enjoyed a French 75 and then a brandy Alexander.
His technique is superb and so is his knowledge of the history of the cocktail that he makes In an age where every bartender wants to be called a mixologist he is an old school bartender.
