Looking for quality cocktails and great local food

NYC hound in town tonight and looking for someplace great.
Price isn't an issue.

I like many of the recommendations above, but my favorite place in the Twin Cities for a combination of cocktails and delicious food would be La Belle Vie (you can order off the whole menu in the lounge if desired or they have a lounge-specific menu - including a tasting menu option).

Definitely La Belle Vie. Sit at the bar, not fancy. Well, it's fancy for Minneapolis, not for NYC. The restaurant side is white tablecloth, the bar is usually full of interesting people.
Great cocktails, awesome food. Rabbit pappardelle is my can't-miss recommendation.

The lounge side has a "cool vibe" in my opinion and is a jeans fine sort of atmosphere (this is not true in the dining room part which definitely is more dressy). In the lounge you can sit at the bar (which I would recommend if that is your sort of thing) or at a table.

Started my night at bradstreet and actually ended my night there as well. Great cocktails for sure. Went to 112 eatery and had a terrific meal.

Those guys know why they are doing and food and service was excellent.

Minneapolis sure did deliver. Thanks for the help!

Saffron has outstanding cocktails that are very much out of the box, and the food is stellar.

Bradstreet definitely has the cool cocktails right now, though some consider them a bit too "precious." Most of the good local food places have good quality and interesting cocktails. Restaurant Alma and The Inn come to mind if you're in DT Minneapolis; Meritage or The Strip Club if in St. Paul....

Quick correction: Restaurant Alma serves only beer and wine - no hard liquor, so no cocktails, alas. But the food is great.

That's funny-- in my memory, we've had cocktails there, but that just goes to show that memory can be faulty!
