Dinner as a wedding gift: please help with recos!

My good friends have gotten married and are moving to Portland. As they don't want wedding gifts and are real foodies (though not big meat eaters), I wanted to treat them to a special dinner at a restaurant in Portland. They are foodies who are also into design aesthetics, so a special and stylish restaurant would be great. Can anyone suggest something? Andina sounds great, but I'm not sure it's romantic. Thank You!

    My special occasion recommendation would be Beast and Le Pigeon. However, both of these are more or less community tables, but for foodies, they are both great restaurants for diners to drool over what the chefs are cooking.

      Paley's Place for a romantic dinner for foodies, hands-down. Departures for pre-dinner drinks for the design aesthetics and great views.

        Castagna if you are spending a lot of money...amazjing!!!!!
        Metrovino $$$
        Toro Bravo-also loud
        Departure -the views are gorgeous
        Aviary if they are adventureous
        Andina is delicious, and the service is wonderful

          Hard to say. Everyone has their own idea of "romantic". Fenouil is closed. How much are you willing to spend?

            Fenouil has great food and a beautiful dining room. Andina is also very good but is a bit loud. We recently enjoyed fantastic meals at Gruner and Meriwether's. Paley's Place would also be very nice. :)
