Bailey's Chocolate Syrup?

I love making my own chocolate syrup to pour over vanilla ice cream. I'd like to try adding Bailey's to my chocolate syrup, but I've never cooked with spirits before, so I'm a little unsure of how to do this. Should I add the Bailey's at the boiling stage, or replace some water with the bailey's, or add it at the end and simmer it to cook the alcohol out? Will adding a milk-based substance to chocolate syrup result in a disgusting mess? Here's my recipe for chocolate syrup.

½ cup cocoa powder
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
⅛ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon vanilla

Mix, Boil. 3-5 minutes and you're done.

Also, I'm new here, so if this is the wrong place to ask this, well, feel free to direct me elsewhere. :)
