SOUTH SHORE RESTAURANTS FOR EASTER? Water view?
My mom is coming for a visit and I would like to find a nice restaurant on the south shore for easter dinner.
I am new to the area so still have a lot of places to find and check out. ...
Water views would be great but more important a great restaurant and good wine.
I prefer seafood my mom will eat anything.
Cape restaurants as well.
thanks for the help.
There are a few places that come to mind. In Quincy at Marina Bay there is Siros and their sister restaurant Port 305. My normal preference would be Port 305 as I like it's casual feel and menu, but in reality the seating is more bar with a small number of booths. Siros is more upscale and suited for an Easter dinner. Another option might be Inn at Bay Point, also in Quincy. While not chowish, it has nice water views and a fairly extensive menu. I've had some nice meals there, although I know it's not a favorite on this board. I was just there this past weekend and had some perfectly seared scallops on top of lobster risotto which was really quite good. The only other place on the south shore that I can think of is Bridgemans in Hull.

Thanks for the help. I tried to get seating at The Inn at Bay Point (I've been there before ) and it would be fine but they are all booked up. I also called a few other places that were already booked. I looked up reviews for Bridgemans after making reservations and it seems they have had several very negative reviews. Mainly about service and the owner.
A friend mentioned The Mill Wharf restaurant in Scituate which looked great but again booked for Easter.
These are all going to be added to my must try list.
That reminded me of Alma Nove (former chef at Bridgeman's) in the Hingham Shipyard. They have views of the marina. I'm not sure about availability at any of these place for Easter Sunday. Getting a bit late would be my guess.
P.S. Livvy1....you can do better on the South Shore than most of the places mentioned. Not sure any of those places that are "must try".
