Dante's or Nola?

We are coming to town for Jazz Fest and plan to eat our way through NOLA.

We've been to Cochon and pla to go back again, but were wondering which was better Dante's Kitchen or NOLA? I know that they are different, but if you had to choose...? Any other suggestions would be great!

  1. I have not yet been to NOLA, but Dante's Kitchen is off the hook ;) House infused liquors...one of the finest brunches in town. In my humble opinion...

    1. Tough call as they are similar with some of the cooking ideas but then completely different, if that makes sense.

Dante's is in a house, more close with casual (but good) service. NOLA of course is more of a corporate bistro with a lot of bustle and Emeril's standard high level of team service.

I'm all about lazy, particularly after a day at JF, so I'd go to the one closest to my hotel!

      1. I've had the pleasure of dining at both, and not THAT far apart. I'd give the nod to NOLA, but you cannot go wrong with either.

Collardman got it right - similar, yet quite different. More upscale, then NOLA; more casual, dine at Dante's.

        Enjoy,
