The FN is to food what MTV is to music..............more concerned about developing polarizing characters and buzzwords than showcasing people with talent and passion. Stay tuned, the two will likely morph and Lady GaGa will be hosting a "cooking" show..................

In the "old days", Pearl Jam would be playing a cool unplugged set and and Emeril would actually be cooking. Today, Snooki and Guy Fieri could be interchanged and no one would really know whch channel they were watching.........................

So am I the only one that caught an episode Sunday evening, probably a teaser epsiode? She was retained to build a cake for a Mardi Gras krewe for their after parade party. Cake was gigantic and I didn't particularly care for the look of the final product (not my style of anything), and I wasn't especially enamored of her trusty sidekicks. But, there wasn't much on and my channel surfing kept ending up back at FTV.

A single phrase kept coming to mind throughout the show..."heaving bossom". The episode was rife with Miss Ashley's heaving bossom. She has no problem showing off the girls and FTV has no problem filming them. It was kind of hard to look past them and be objective about the cake

gotta show the cleavage. check almost EVERY female host of cooking shows.

i'm thinking who doesn't have it? america's test kitchen gals, lidia b., sara moulton. some of the everyday food gals. but those are abut all i can think of right now....

notice that the cleavage really plays a larger role in the commercial network shows versus the public broadcasting shows. ;-).

Lidia Bastianich most certainly shows cleavage. The way she is built reminds me exactly of my mother! Mama mia!

And speaking of mother, maybe that's why a lot of female TV chefs show cleavage. You know: mom + breasts = food. Calling Dr. Freud!

I just saw the ad for this again - and you're totally right - she does look like an imitation of Anna Nicole.

I am so sick of all of these cake shows on the Food Network! They need to be canceling all of them - not adding new shows! And while the FN is at it - get rid of the cupcake shows too!
