  1. Awww, yuck! :)-

    1. From Foodnetworkhumor.com a week ago:
      •FNH SAYS: Can’t the Food Network just let this cake decorating bull**** go? They just canceled Ace Of Cakes, and they’re already replacing it with this crap? Have you seen the video preview? The woman is like the poor man’s Anna Nicole Smith. Please make it die.

      1. I was kind of creeped out because I thiought it was an ANNA zombie until they showed her talking....

        1. It can't be a mistake this lady has cultivated the anna nichole look. At least she appears to enjoy her products. And isn't anna nichole the poor mans anna nichole?!!

          1. I just saw the ad for this again - and you're totally right - she does look like an imitation of Anna Nicole.

            I am so sick of all of these cake shows on the Food Network! They need to be canceling all of them - not adding new shows! And while the FN is at it - get rid of the cupcake shows too!

              what is with these cake "reality" shows?

              1. re: alkapal

                I don't know, but if you find out, let me know.

                Gotta agree with everyone, enough is enough with this cake show business. They must be relatively cheap to produce. And, yes, this woman looks like Ana Nicole, and how did she get a gig like this on FTV. Lowest common denominator? Whatever that may be...

                1. re: DiningDiva

                  "...and how did she get a gig like this on FTV. "

                  She was on a few of their cake challenges and I think she may have won a couple.

            2. Who is she and how is she the "reigning queen of cake decorating world?"

                I found a recipe from her. It calls for real butter, scraped vanilla bean... popcorn salt and instant pudding. They already have Sandra Lee.

                  Oh dear.....

                    SHADES of KWAANZA CAKE!

                2. So am I the only one that caught an episode Sunday evening, probably a teaser epsiode? She was retained to build a cake for a Mardi Gras krewe for their after parade party. Cake was gigantic and I didn't particularly care for the look of the final product (not my style of anything), and I wasn't especially enamored of her trusty sidekicks. But, there wasn't much on and my channel surfing kept ending up back at FTV.

                  A single phrase kept coming to mind throughout the show..."heaving bossom". The episode was rife with Miss Ashley's heaving bossom. She has no problem showing off the girls and FTV has no problem filming them. It was kind of hard to look past them and be objective about the cake

                    booby call. booby call on FN!

                    i would've gone for a "Bobby call" on Law & Order criminal intent!

                    1. re: alkapal

                      ;-D

                    2. re: DiningDiva

                      Seriously, there are only 2 reasons I will watch this show.
                      Heavin'-Watchin'-Hammy

                      1. re: hamboney

                        Between her and the dessert first lady... someone seems to be cleavage casting obsessed

                        1. re: girloftheworld

                          gotta show the cleavage. check almost EVERY female host of cooking shows.

                          i'm thinking who doesn't have it? america's test kitchen gals, lidia b., sara moulton. some of the everyday food gals. but those are abut all i can think of right now....

                          notice that the cleavage really plays a larger role in the commercial network shows versus the public broadcasting shows. ;-).

                          ~~~~~~
                          the latest FN hostess claire robinson has been showing progressively more and more of her tatas.
                          1. re: alkapal
                            Lidia Bastianich most certainly shows cleavage. The way she is built reminds me exactly of my mother! Mama mia!
                            And speaking of mother, maybe that's why a lot of female TV chefs show cleavage. You know: mom + breasts = food. Calling Dr. Freud!
                            1. re: ttoommyy
                              lidia is sometimes cleavage, sometimes not. but yes, she has the bazooms.
                    3. The FN is to food what MTV is to music..............more concerned about developing polarizing characters and buzzwords than showcasing people with talent and passion. Stay tuned, the two will likely morph and Lady GaGa will be hosting a "cooking" show..................
                      1. re: TonyO
                        yeah, she's already got the meat dress. now if she just will cook herself!
                        1. re: alkapal
                          In the "old days", Pearl Jam would be playing a cool unplugged set and and Emeril would actually be cooking. Today, Snooki and Guy Fieri could be interchanged and no one would really know whch channel they were watching.........................
                          1. re: TonyO
                            oh no! not snooky! i've never seen that show except for a snippet here and there. she is gross. i like guy fieri.
                            pearl jam played on emeril? neat!
