Italian Restaurant Fairfield County

Where would you recommend for a good dining experience? I have been to Testo's and Ralph & Rich's in Bridgeport, they were decent but not too impressed. I'm mainly looking for a moderately priced meal with a decent seafood pasta item on the menu (girlfriend usually always orders this).

Pasta Nostra in South Norwalk is excellent, can be tough to get into especially on weekends.

Paci in Fairfield also a favorite.

For a seafood focus, might want to try Positano in Westport, although overall I don't think it's as good as the first two.

Try Via Sforza or Strada 18. I'm not a fan of Biagio's. 55 Degrees is good too.

Try Biagio's Osteria at Ryders Landing in Stratford. Great imaginative Italian food in a setting reminding me of many trattorias in Italy. Great seafood, I've had the salmone in puff pastry and the linguine with clam sauce is excellent. Most of the pasta is hand made in the restaurant. Service is usually very good. Also the appetizers are great. The fried Calamari and the cheese tasting platter are both very good. I usually eat at the bar. Joe the bar tender is fun.

I second Biagio's - great food, nice service, and they have numerous seafood options on the menu, both apps and mains, with and without pasta. I've had their lobster ravioli (awesome) and this -
CONCHIGLIE AI FRUTTI DI MARE: Individually hand made shell pasta with a slow simmered San Marzano (sauce), shrimp, clams, scallops, and mussels finished with fresh basil and roasted garlic. 23 -
also awesome, to die for, whatever superlative one might wish to apply.

The stuffed scallop app is positively rapturous, too.

Pellicci's Ristorante in Stamford has my absolute favorite seafood pasta dish.
          Anthony's Seafood Delight
FEAST FOR TWO - A Combination of Clams, Mussels, Shrimp, Calamari, Scungilli, Scallops and a Whole Lobster. Your Choice of Red, White or Fra Diavolo Sauce over Pasta. A Feast for Two. $69.95. It's a little pricey but you can get a few meals out of it. It's a huge family sized bowl of food. I usually get white with Fra Diavolo on the side.

my current favorite seafood pasta dish is the tagliatelli with lobster from 55 degrees in Fairfield. I am also partial to the red clam sauce at Via Sforza in Westport.
