My Jitlada Thai Hollywood Experience (Review)

Hypnotic23 Apr 18, 2011 08:58 PM

A friend & I just returned from a Hollywood dinner at Jitlada Thai.

The meal was phenomenal and I shall return soon.

We started out with the Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp which we shared.

The broth was exquisite and lovely mushrooms floating in the beautiful broth.

For our entrees we split 2 dishes:

-Kaeng Tai Kae-Turmeric Lamb Curry
&
-Chili Paste Crispy Chicken & Beans

Both dishes were quite tasty. They warned us how spicy the Curry would be and it wasn't hot at all from what my pallet is used too.

I did enjoy the dish very much. I also like how they brought out no charge a bowl of cucumbers & carrots chilled on ice on the side.

The waiter explained its to cleanse the pallet when going on to the next dish.

Now the Chili Paste Crispy Chicken & Beans was my favorite. Such deep complex flavors in the chicken and the crunch of vegi's topped it off.

The table next to us had some great dishes and we had to ask what they ordered:

-Crab fried rice
&
-3 flavor whole sea bass

Dishes I will try next time. For dessert we had to have the sticky rice with mango which completed the meal.

Enjoy,

Stuart
