Good kid-friendly restos in Markham / Richmond Hill area for my 30th bday

Hi,

Just looking for advice for places to eat for my big birthday (30) with my family (12 people including kids) in the Richmond Hill/Markham area.

I'd like to open up my family's choices from AYCE Jap places and Korean BBQ. Some of the kids are very picky, so a place with 'safe' choices will be great. I couldn't really come up with any, so I'm turning towards the foodies on Chowhound.

Thanks for your help.

Not sure how old all the kiddies are but here are some suggestions

Teppanyaki is not a bad choice and Tase of Japan on Woodbine (north of Steeles) is a decent enough place. The kids always seem to enjoy the experience.

Terra (close Yonge/Hwy 407) for upscale/more expensive option is surprisingly kid friendly. You can get a private room, we had a dinner there with our kids who were 1 and 3 at the time and there wasn't much fuss with it.

Bluestone Bistro (Hwy 7/Warden) isn't bad either, again you can book the private room for easier control of the kiddies :)
