I haven't been there yet, but butterscotch pie at Pie-N-Burger gets major raves on this board. I'm sure the enthusiasts will chime in.

butterscothc pudding at clementine, definitely, but they only have this crazy good treat about once every 5 years or so. a lot of the time, they have the choc pudding and banana cream pie but not the exceptional buttescotch. maybe you'll get lucky and if they do have the butterscotch pudding when you're there ask for some fresh whipped cream on top of it to cool down the sweetness fo the butterscotch.

The Clementine butterscotch pudding is quite fine but they don't have it very often.

have you tried what they call their butterscotch bars? they are highly addictive. you've been warned!

FYI-- They have had the butterscotch pudding twice in the last weeks--perhaps the staff is feeling generous.

this must be my lucky day.
that and the fact that bld actually serves a respectable tumbler fool of good butterscothc pudding along with some creme fraiche on top to gild the proverbial lilly.
thanks for the note, i'll be there tomorrow.

Jar had a very dense and caramel-like one about 3 weeks ago when I had dinner there.

Just had the butterscotch pudding at Jar (8225 Beverly Blvd., (323) 655-6566) and it was excellent. Not too sweet, with very nice, complex caramel overtones. Really, an superb dessert.

FYI-it is often not on the menu, but they have it a lot so just ask.

Porto's in Glendale has a dulce de leche napoleon that's fantastic and very butterscotchy. It's in the case with the whole cakes, on the bottom shelf, but it's not always available on weekends. Always during the week, though.

Pizzeria Mozza has butterscotch pudding as well...I like it a lot. There's some mixed reviews on this site, but I'm for it.
