Does anyone know where to buy seafood sausage in or near RI? I saw it in Maine and they had a segment on The Today Show on it. I guess it might have to be a fish market that makes it themself. That is how I found it in Maine.

  1. Chef Ralph of The Mad Platter in Mashpee Commons on the Cape practically invented the seafood sausage. (His was the first place I've ever seen them over 15 years ago) His version is made with lobster, shrimp and scallop. His claim to fame is once selling 17000 pounds on QVC.

They sell for $10.50 per pound in his retail shop. Not sure if he'd ship them to you, but next time you're on the Cape give them a try. here's a link:

You're welcome! Make sure you call first if you make the trip. I'm not sure he always has them available.

    2. TJ's had them frozen at one time...but believe they stopped carrying them because of pork casings ...have seen them at WF fresh alongside hot dogs i

I have not looked at WF yet but I wil. I looked at TJ's and they did not have them. In Maine we were at a fish market that made them. I'd love to find that!

TJ's seems to have them sporadically. I tried them once and was not impressed. They were
bland and flavorless. Very disappointing. Will keep WF in mind, because the idea is appealing.

I am going to ask at Seawell, Pawcatuck. They are such a great fish market, maybe they know of a place.

      2. Alica,
Grossmans seafood market in Mystic and Groton is making seafood sausage.
They had swordfish, smoked tuna , and spicy swordfish there today.
I bought the spicy sword- I'll let you know how it tastes.
They also said that they would love constructive criticism - we'll see
