Dragon Mark is back, and the same as ever

ipsedixit Apr 17, 2011 11:58 AM

New location is now at 127 N. Garfield (intersection of Garfield and Garvey), where the previous Taiwanese restaurant of PP Pop used to be.

They are running some XLB and bao specials, so get them while you can.

Hey, Mayor Huang ... you've got a new place to meet with your mistresses!

For the first time, ipsedixit, I must strongly disagree with "same as ever". Where are the checkered vinyl tablecloths that ones elbows stuck to? Where are the plain plates items were served on? Where is the non-descript drab interior? The new place has a neon-ish interior, and they actually have presentation (see below) Did they hire a new chef? When I went to Dragon Mark, it was an older couple there.

Oh, you meant "same as ever" food wise. Concur. But only open until 1AM now instead of 3AM at the old Valley location.

Sign still said P. P. Pop a couple of days ago, though there is also a Grand Opening banner. Wonder if they'll spring for new signage.

New Taste, replaced Dragon Mark's old location, right?
