Ramen- It's Q! Hacienda Heights (short review)
Okay don't ask me what the heck "It's Q!" means but that's what they have on their sign and menu. I have yet to get the nerve to ask. The first time we went in a few months after they opened they only had a handful of items on the menu, everything in japanese, but that menu has grown and usually there is people eating there. I have only ordered for takeout since it's so close to my home, but plan to eat there one of these days. Every time we order, we are given a lovely glass of iced tea to enjoy while we wait. It has a lovely grain taste, nothing like I've ever had. The owner told me it is wheat tea, I have since found out after some internet research that it is Nikokku, Japanese Buckwheat tea. I'm planning on tracking some down so I can make it at home. Being that I am ...umm how do I say this... white.... I had to take one of their menu flyers home with me so I can research the names of the menu items so I know what to order when I go. The owner is very nice and patient but I feel bad about asking her every time we go what each word means. I'm not completely ignorant- I know gyoza and ramen and edamame, however fried shishamo, ohitashi, morokyu, sauteed nigauri and nira liver are completely new to me. So far, not that we've tried many things yet, we've found a few favorites. The curry rice is very good, my husband craves it often. He actually gets it every time leaving me to experiment. I've tried the tamayu ramen, but it wasn't my bag- I'm planning on going for the miso, curry, or kimchi ramen next. (Anyone know what yuzukosho ramen could be?) The gyoza is very good- there's so much more to try. Just thought I'd write in case there's any ramen-heads in the area- it's worth a second look!!

Loved your review. And it's okay, I don't think anyone other than someone who's been to Japan or Japanese themselves would know about those exotics.
