One special dinner in Miami Beach-- food more important than scene-- where to go?

Hi CHs,
My husband and I (in our late 20s) are going to Miami next week and staying in South Beach. Because we're only going for a couple of days and are not renting a car, we're limiting ourselves to Miami Beach and not Miami proper to get the most beach time. I've got a long list of casual lunch and dinner places, but I would like to book one special dinner. The day I'm hoping to do it is actually Easter Sunday-- I don't know if that will matter or not in terms of places being open/having special menus.
Now the challenge-- I'm not interested in any of the Miami incarnations of trendy restaurants with NY locations (Scarpetta, BLT, STK, etc.) or anything at all scene-y. I'm not interested in places with entrees in the $30s and 40s. I am looking for above all great food where flavor and not presentation is paramount, in a romantic but not over-the-top atmosphere. I love restaurants that incorporate local and sustainable ingredients. We're open to any type of cuisine.
To give you an idea of what's caught my eye, AltaMare looks appealing, as does Wish, but I crossed Wish off my list when I saw the $19 gazpacho, which I find audacious.
Any ideas will be much appreciated! TIA!!
