Supercomfortable seats?

OK, this is kind of an off-the-wall question.... My partner currently has a medical condition that makes it impossible for him to sit, unless it's on a super cushy seat. It's not the end of the world: The two of us cook, order in, or eat at restaurant bars (I sit, he stands). But his 85-year-old grandmother is coming to New York next weekend, and she loves to eat out—but she doesn't do barstools. Are there any restaurants known for having super cushy seats? (I'm talking sofa cushy.) Brooklyn is fine, too, as are bars where there's a bit of elegance—the grandmother likes a drink and style.

Along the same lines are the couches in the bar area at GT, though I have not sat in them myself, they look pretty darn comfortable.

If I remember, Artisanal has very cushy seats.
