Le Chateaubriand in the 11th arrondisement
Has anyone eaten here? I've searched the board and haven't found any comment on this restaurant - thanks in advance!! Thinking of trying to get in when we're in Paris for a couple of days next month...

Some plates were magic, some were confusing, all were challenging in one way or another. For $50 it is a good deal and the servers are a fun bunch, but I'd sooner spend $42 at L'Ami Jean or $33 at Le Regalade again before going back to Le Chateaubriand.

re: uhockey
We are probably the opposite and would go the LC ahead of those two as we like the style of food.
However, generally we have a few meals in Paris and like to try a range of places: LC is avant-garde food, 'L'Ami Jean semi traditional, and Le Regalade is solid traditional so if choosing three they would give a good range. That said all are have been around for a quite some time so I would always add one or two newer places as I like to balance the old with the new.

re: PhilD
am now thinking of one night at spring and the other at frenchie - although it seems challenging to get a reservation at either - we'll be in paris for 2 nights in about a month - do you think we'll be able to get reservations at either or both with persistence? thx for your help....
