late dinner near the 92nd St Y

Hi All,

I am going to a concert at the 92nd St Y tonight and I want a nice place where we can get a late bite after the show. Good food is important and I would like a lively atmosphere. Price is not a big deal, but I would want to avoid a very expensive UES joint. Any ideas?

Too late, but Marmara is a Turkish place that's a block or two away on 3rd, is open till 11, and serves food that can be surprisingly great, if sometime uneven. Well priced, too.

Have been to Marmara a couple of times - and uneven is correct. So much so that I can't really recommend it. Yes some dishes have been good - but some things have been close to inedible. And service can be a joke there.

To be specific - I've had sublime manti from there, both vegetarian and meat, multiple times, but I find the pides greasy and meh.

If French would suit you, I'd suggest Cafe d'Alsace. The food's very good, it has a bustling vibe, it isn't pricey, and they serve until midnight.
