Killer French Food w/o the Killer Pricetag?

I want to introduce my kids to french food. Can anyone suggest a restaurant in the LA area- I live in Westlake Village, that's very good but not priced to break the bank? Thanks-

So far the suggestions are quite a schlep from Westlake Village. Why not try a few in the valley? Two come to mind immediately: La Frite and I can't quite remember the name of the other, although I've eaten there. Best sweetbreads around. It's located on Ventura just east of Hayvenhurst. Maybe someone else here can come up with the name.

We liked Le Saint Amour in Culver City, felt quite Parisian on the sidewalk, and the food was decent, although I have seen some mixed reviews on the boards recently.

Cheval Blanc and Bistro de la Gare, both in Pasadena, would be good "gateway" French restaurants.
