Highway 52, late evening ideas [Moved from Minneapolis-St. Paul]

I am going to a poetry reading in Zumbrota (!?) on Saturday night. We will be coming home around 10ish and know I will be hungry. Any ideas for a later evening dinner/snack along the Highway 52/55 route back into Minneapolis?

One vegetarian among us and not looking for a full dinner, but a fun place for dessert or light dinner. House of Coats might be open, but something not quite so bar-like would be great. (Though I am guessing anything that is open will be a bar.)

Any ideas in Zumbrota or Cannon Falls?

  1. My first thought was House of Coates, but you've already considered that, it appears. Cannon Falls has Mill Street Tavern. Still a bar/tavern, but not as bar-like as H of C.

    1. The old Edgewood Restaurant space, 6 miles south of Cannon Falls is now called the River Flame Restaurant. We ate there a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty good. For the vegetarian they had a nice Greek salad.
