re: Jacquilynne
That looks like someone edited over the old place record for the previous restaurant. El Paseo should have been marked as closed and a new record created for the new place. The new rsto bears part of the same name but is a completely different kind of place. The links to old threads are deceiving. And anyone searching for info about the old longstanding El Paseo will not see that it closed or it's old history. Please restore this.

re: Robert Lauriston
That's basically a judgement call on the part of the person who updates the record; in this case, that was Robert.
I usually create a new record if the ownership and the style of restaurant has changed, or if the restaurant completely changes -- name, concept, etc, -- even if the ownership remains the same. If the restaurant stays basically the same and only the ownership changes, I usually don't.
If there's an attempt at continuity on the part of the business, I'd usually leave it as the same record, but describe the changes in the Good To Know section along with an approximate date when things changed.
