mother / daughter spots

My mom is coming to visit this week (mon-thurs). any good brunch and dinner spots that are mother/daughter-ish? we like red wine, cozy atmosphere and lighting, and exposed brick :)

    Thank you all for the suggestions! In response to RGR, home base is in the West Village, but we'll go anywhere. Cuisine type: Italian, French and Mediterranean are favorites...yet we're adventurous. Budget...anything goes (its a special trip)

          It would be helpful to know your cuisine and neighborhood preferences as well as your per person budget for food (beverages, tax & tip additional). But that said...

          I would suggest Le Parisien, the teensy French bistro, on 33rd, b/t Lex & 3rd. Charming and cozy, red wine a-plenty, and very good food.
