Vegetarian dinner in Cleveland
I'm a happy, healthy omnivore and have lived in Cleveland for almost three years. A vegetarian friend is coming to visit me in a few weeks, and I'd like to show off one of Cleveland's super restaurants-- but my favorite meals out are pretty meat-centric! I thought I might quiz the NEO Chowhounds for your favorite veg-friendly restaurants. If you have a long list, feel free to narrow it down using my other criteria:
_$10-15 entrees.
_East side inner-ring, downtown, or close-in west side... my guest will be driving a lot that weekend so the last thing I want to do is drag her out to, say, Rocky River or Mentor.
_Good atmosphere for sitting around and talking for a while.
_Decent wine list.
I know Tommy's is kind of the obvious answer in terms of vegetarian fare but I'd really like something a notch or two above a salad/sandwich joint. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

re: NancyH
I actually stopped in there a couple of weeks ago to take-out a wrap for a quick dinner. Menu looked a lot like Anatolia and pricing was very similar. Although we weren't there long, the service was exceptional, which I think is characteristic of Anatolia as well. I'd certainly go back.

Ever since Chef Jonathon Sawyer decided to lose some weight and shape up (I think is was a New Year's resolution kind of thing) - The Greenhouse Tavern has been featuring some amazing vegetarian/vegan fare along with the regular omnivore-friendly items. The price points are a few dollars higher than your range ($15-23 entrees), but there are lots of great small plates and a less expensive happy hour.
There are also two newish Turkish restaurants recently opened (I haven't been to either). In Tremont - Istanbul. I'm familiar with the cuisine of Sonmez Bozkurt from his run at Antalya Red Square in Lyndhurst, and his food is fresh and fabulous, and includes the usual Middle Eastern vegetarian favorites (I adored his falafel and hummus at Antalya!). http://grillistanbul.com/index.html.
The other Turkish place is in Ohio City. Forgot the name.
There is also Anatolia in Cleveland Heights, which is where Chef Sonmez got his start in Cleveland, but I haven't been there since they re-located a couple of years ago.
Enjoy!

re: haveapeach
I've been to the new Turkish place in Tremont a couple times and I thought it was great both times. I've heard even more positive things from another person and I'm planning to head back soon. Both of my meals included meat. The doner was my favorite. Comparing it to the doner I had in my last meal at Anatolia is just an insult to Istanbul Grill. I had a nice yogurt based (non vegetarian dish) at Anatolia a while ago and I remember the doner at Anatolia being fantastic years ago but my recent doner experience and a more distant memory of some really bad mushroom soup will keep me away from there for a long time.
Siam Cafe has a couple delicious tofu entrees which can be ordered with or without a meat component. I've also really enjoyed their ong choi.
Bar Cento certainly has those other places beat on wine. The ramp pizza is back on the menu and other vegetarian pizzas are available.

re: stuart
Thanks! This makes me keen to try Istanbul Grill-- who knew we'd have so much good Turkish around here?!
Also, I'm happy to have learned about the ramp pizza-- I guess I've never been to Bar Cento during ramp season. If I don't make it there soon I will be making my own, for sure!
