Provincetown
We're spending the weekend in P-town. Hopefully we'll get a reservation at the new Ten Tables, since I'm never likely to get there while in town here. We'll go to Fanizzi's as well. Any other reasonably-priced, family (teens, not tots) joints that you recommend? (We are still mourning Clem and Ursie's.)

My wife and I were also in P-town this past weekend. Only did one night, but had a great time. Hit up the Ten Tables bar for dinner. They were packed, but we only waited about 15 for a spot to open at the bar. Really great shrimp and grits and charcuterie, mini tacos ok but cold for some reason (which is how they were supposed to come) and real solid cocktails and beer list. I actually wish we had ordered more food there.
Didn't eat at Jimmy's Hideaway, but stopped in for a cocktail earlier in the day. The food people at the bar were eating looked fantastic, especially the scallops a guy next to us was digging into.
Also, have to mention the Squealing Pig, which we hit for lunch. Great, well seasoned fish and chips and super fresh oysters (we saw the oyster guy bring them in in a bag).
We will be hitting up P-town again.

We ate at ten tables last night and were very disappointed. Charcuterie and shrimp and grits excellent, cavatelli with jamon and spring vegetables tiny, cold and blah ( for $20). Rolls came ice cold, swordfish overcooked , service pretentious, though attentive.
We honestly had a better dinner the night before at Napi's. I was very psyched for Ten Tables, so very sad. And they hurried us out. never again !-----

Thanks so much, folks, for steering us to great food. We had one dinner at Fanizzi's, where we've been before. I had really terrific scallop scampi. We had another dinner at Victor's; many tasty treats (lobster potstickers were good but not terrific; ginger creme brulee was amazing!) and the Fanizzi's for the third night. For some reason, Napi's just doesn't appeal to me -- am I wrong to feel that way? And Ten Tables somehow didn't call to me either. Wanted to try Ross' Grill but it doesn't open until later in the season.

I like Napi's a lot for its wide selection able to please carnivores and vegetarians ( and vegans, I think) and fresh ingredients. Nothing is spectacular but everything is good or very good. We will go there next weekend. I like it better than Fanzini's . I found Victor's precious last year. I wish BLackfish were open, that was my idea of a great meal.

It's been a while, but I liked Napi's the last time I ate there. http://www.napis-restaurant.com/
Ross' Grille is also good and right on the water, although I just noticed their website says they're opening for the season on April 22. http://www.rossgrille.com/provincetow...
Have fun!

You should probably post on the NE board and my guess is this thread will be moved there shortly anyway. The new Ten Tables is a good bet; you should also try Victor's, which is a new (well, a couple years new) place in the west end. Really good food, drinks and atmosphere; focus on small plates. I always love Front Street...has inventive, more modern Italian but also classic italian dishes like chicken marsala, etc. I think Ross's Grill is always good too. Just a few thoughts...have fun!
