    Sad news. Johnson's was the epitome of what a BBQ place should look like, almost ramshackle. Good food, though,and any mention of BBQ brings to mind how few and far between good 'que places are in the Bay Area.

      didn't eat here but knew of the spot. went out with the daughter of one of the previous occupants. the chinese restaurant here was basically dead. saw johnson's video. very heartwarming. he will be missed by all. RIP.

        I was just there this past Saturday afternoon and they mentioned they were closing early due to an illness in the family. I guess that's what it was about. RIP.
