ISO Peanut Sauce Recipe

daves_32 Apr 14, 2011 07:42 AM

I am looking for a great peanut sauce recipe that hopefully (in order of priority):
is low sugar,
low (reduced) salt,
and lime incorporated.

Daves32... this may work for you...
    "Peanut Sauce"

1/4 c no salt added reduced fat natural peanut butter
1/3 c sodium free chicken broth
1/3 c fat free coconut milk (canned)
    1/2 lime (squeezed juice)
    1 t rice wine vinegar
    3 t lite soy
    1/2 t red pepper flakes
1 T honey or plum sauce
Place in bowl, whisk until combined.
    This makes about a cup.
Use in stir fry or as a dipper for egg rolls or gioza wraps

Is this better for you Daves32?

I usually substitute Splenda for sugar in peanut sauce and it works fine. She Simmers is my go-to for all things Thai: http://www.shesimmers.com/2009/03/how...

Indonesian Peanut sauce is my favorite. Less sweet than Thai .
