Bean Pies Found!

This may not be news to you guys, but I was about to embark on a mission for bean pies (in LA you could drive down Crenshaw and find guys in suits selling them on the corners), when I stumbled across a store with a sign in the window saying "Bean Pies Here". I stopped in and grabbed one (a mini, 8" I believe). It was pretty delicious, and the crust was how I like it: very thin at the bottom and crunchy on the edges.

I didn't actually look at the name of the store, but it was on H St NE, just west of 5th St. I think it might be Dynamic Wellness. They had alot of African products and art.

I remember seeing sharply dressed guys, hats and suits selling bean pies way up Georgia Ave several years ago.
