Unreadable information in the restaurant records

The black text on the red background with the question about duplicate restaurant records has never been fixed.

Now the phone number has become unreadable with a dark grey background and black text.

Please consider readability in restaurant records. White text on red would be readable. Why the grey background on the phone number? I notice there is a new drop down list to it.

Please, please change the colors. It is not readable. I can't imagine what this looks like on an iphone. I'm having major problems reading it on a netbook.

  1. Where do you see black text n a red background? I only see that in the nav bar on restaurant pages. I don't see a dark grey background on restaurant pages. Do you have custom stylesheets in place? Here's what it looks like for me:

Here's a wider view of that page, that shows black and red in the Nav bar. But maybe I'm not looking at the page you are- none of this sounds like what you are describing.

It seem to have gone away. Fortuntely I had a screen I didn't close. It looks like the photo below.

Maybe a new feature is being tested. Please Chow don't do this.

I am guessing this is some sort of widget that is being added for even more connectivity ... like to skype. It shows up in other websites. It is unreadable.

For some reason it seems to show up as white on blue in the screen print. However, It is black on grey on the screen.

This joint has two phones, and the second shows up normally. I hope that if this widget gets added it isn't going to exclude more than one phone number as that is quite necessary for a number of restaurants. Also, I hope this isn't something that is going to make entry of foreign phone numbers difficult due to different formats from the US. For example, phone numbers are eight digits in Guatemala.

Oh, ok ... it seems I tested to see if the phone number could be copied and the copy changed the color of the text.

Here's what it looks like black and gray along with the drop down box with options.

While there seems to be some useful options such as direct dial (I guess this is for phones), I am a little concerned if this is going to impact foreign phone numbers. As it is, dealing with foreign addresses and the maps is a pain. I hope an upcoming problem with foreign phones is not looming.

That's interesting-- I don't get that phone number widget on my screen at all. I do have Skype on my computer but it's not running. Let me turn it on and see if that makes anything happen... nope.

I wonder, is this maybe a Skype widget? Do you see that same option on other websites with phone numbers?

Hi rworange - We aren't testing any new functionality on the restaurant pages at this time. And while it could be interesting, we don't have any plans to make an update like that any time soon. I would guess that its a Skype setting of some sort. Thanks for alerting us.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I installed skype yesterday and today was the first time since then that I went into the restaurant records. I guess I'll email skype about this
