Best Scene this Saturday the 16th?

I am looking for the best restaurant/lounge/bar type of place for this upcoming Saturday (couple in early 30's).

By "scene" I mean "the place to be", and by that I mean a really fun and upbeat yet stylish establishment. I know there are many of these, but there has got to be at least a couple that stand out right now.

Again, I am looking for a stylish place with a really good vibe/energy/atmosphere. A crowded place that is really popular/sought after right now.

In terms of food and price range, I don't have specifics, I am open minded. But what I'm looking for is pretty much one of the most popular spots at the moment. I need to know what's "hot" if you know what I mean. :)

I know these places are out there, I just don't know where.

I'm not looking for the perfect recommendation here, just your "2 cents". Just throwing a couple of names my way will do great, as I will do my research.

Son Cubano pulls up their tables at a certain hour to make way for dancing. it's a lively place with decent food, but it's not "new" by any sense of the word.

Also any place that gets a positive NYT review tends to immediately become very "hot" (though it is not always sustained).
