Great news! I have eaten at three of his restaurants including Daniel in NYC. I really hope he maintains the high level of service and food as at his other restaurants and finds a great executive chef and front of house manager.

Cafe Boulud in Palm Beach is one of my favorite restaurants in Florida so I'm looking forward to see what he opens in Montreal.

I'm all reved up over this. Hoping some others follow the lead. I know lots of people are not crazy about him, but I'd love to see Batali opening a joint here.

I'd actually rather have a Babbo or an Otto pizzeria than a Boulud restaurant.

I'd happily settle for Otto, Babbo AND anything Boulud... but I'm not complaining about only Boulud. Although if they opened a Fatty Crab or Momofuku here, I would be ecstatic...

Glad to know I'm not the only Babbo fan around here. But when it comes to bang for the buck, I think Lupa is amazing and I don't think we have anything that compares to it in town in terms of looks, atmosphere and food. I'd love to stand corrected though.

Gordon Ramsay, now Daniel Boulud, Montreal is slowly making it's place in the star chefs map, that's good news and will surely be a nice fit with the new Ritz!
