Happy Hour recommendations needed, Boston & Cambridge
Once upon a time I lived in a place where Happy Hour was legal. It's not, really, in Massachusetts, since they don't allow drink specials, but at least you'll sometimes find a place that has food specials.
We visit friends in Baltimore each year and they show us a great inexpensive time because they know places with great happy hours and food specials.
I am feeling a bit guilty because when they visit us here in Boston they end up spending a lot more money because we don't know any places with good happy hour specials.
I know of Redbones appetizer specials before 6. Always yummy.
What are your favorite places, both fancy and seedy, for cheap happy hour eats? Or cheap eats in general, but I am especially interested in the happy-hour time period.
We need t-accessible places, so Boston, Cambridge and immediate suburbs are best.

Bambara in the Hotel Marlowe has a selection of appetizers for $2 each 4-6PM weekdays: calamari, grilled flatbread, fish cakes, arancini, or crispy corn cakes.
I also second the McCormick and Schmick's burger which is a good deal at $3. I haven't been in a long time, but did note that the drinks were made with fresh citrus and bottled sodas.

in the seedy category...Crossroads, at the corner of Beacon and Mass Ave, an Irish pub puts out pizza, wings, sometimes a large salad around 5 pm. All free. I used to be an afterwork regular there and they always added something extra...a big tray of potato skins, onion rings. It was very generous. You might call and see if they still do it. I haven;t been since last spring and they have recently come under new ownership.

Dollar Oysters at Lineage in coolidge corner and at 28 degrees in the South End. Believe that both are 5-6. Sel De La Terre has a burgers and beers deal from 5-7 on Mondays. And that is all that I can think of at the moment. I know that there are a lot more.

Sel de la terre also has great charcuterie for $4 a portion - usually 4 or 5 choices that vary (country pate is a favorite). Order them individually (rather then the sampler) and each fairly large portion will arrive with bread, mustard, pickles, and onions - really a meal. The bar small plates menu is decent as well.
Tremont 647 has $2 taco Tuesday's.
