Where should I eat my first big guilty free meal after losing 30 lbs ?
So, I made a commitment to myself starting the new year that I was going to get fit, rain or shine. I had never done something like this before but I made it.
Obviously, during this time I didn't go out and chowhound. I did eat Japanese and some low key Mediterranean food but most of the fatty and calorically dense food I love had to be cut out to attain my goal.
So now, I want to indulge in my first big meal. Where should I eat ?
I'd like to keep it under 60 dollars and in SF. I was thinking Italian or something that has alot of carbs. I'm not a big sweets guy and I dont drink alcohol anymore so this is not a consideration for me. I really just want something heavy, rich and savory.
Recommendations appreciated !

I would say Barbacco as well. On another note, I hate to say it, but you haven't made it yet. The fact that you are already talking about your *first* big meal means that you haven't succeeded in making permanent changes to your lifestyle. And permanent changes are the only way to achieve permanent results. As someone who has lost and regained 30 pounds more than once, I speak from experience! So enjoy your meal, but don't make the "first" of many!

I'd probably order two pies at Una Pizza Napoletana. And take whatever's leftover home. That would definitely seem like a splurge (and a treat) to me.
Along the same lines (pizza), I'd be perfectly happy with a small deep dish Classic from Little Star all to myself.

I suspect you could ingest a lot of calories at Suppenkuche, or the new Austrian place Leopold's. But for pure fat and carbs, Perbacco is a good choice. Though Barbacco is a more fun atmosphere (and cheaper).
