Dishes at Chengdu 1 in Cedar Grove

I recently tried Chengdu 1 and was amazed. I had the lamb ribs coated with pepper, and double cooked pork. Any recommendations for must try dishes at this gem?

What I remember enjoying last time:

AS3. 担担面 Dan Dan Noodle w. Chili Sauce 5.25
AS5. 红油炒手 Spicy Baby Wontons 5.25
    AS10. 红油肚片 Pig’s Tripe w. Chili Oil 7.25
V9. 麻婆豆腐 Ma Po Tofu (w. or w/o. minced pork) 10.55
H12. 香辣兔片 Spicy Rabbit Fillet w. Chili Sauce 14.95

And also check out their specials..last time we got a big pot of chili oil/sauce with slices of fish in it...delicious!

I especially love their mapo tofu and spicy baby wontons...so good!

Oh, yeah--forgot to mention the mapo tofu; I'm just not a big tofu fan, but those who love it LOOOOVE the C1 version!

And it would be cruel not to warn you...once you have those spicy baby wontons, there's no turning back! Mix in the garlic and then DON'T SHARE THEM. :-)

Absolutely Curlz...their baby wontons are really spectacular. Don't give in to the temptation to share...get an order all for yourself, you'll be glad later. :)

You've already had 2 favorites of mine, but I'll add

I crave their Hot and Spicy Jumbo Prawns (note: NOT s&p) if I don't get them on a semi-regular basis...

      Lamb in Special Pepper Sauce

      Sauteed Snow Pea Tips

      Spicy Baby Wontons

      Sausage and Leeks

Shredded Potato (looks like nothing, but wait 'til you taste it!)

2nd the Ants on a Tree

That ought to get you started...! :-) There's a long thread on here that mentions plenty of other dishes--stand by for a link.

      ETA: I lied.

I usually concentrate on sea foods, whole fish in particular. .. they also do a nice job with vegetables. Dumplings or Wontons for appetizers. Tofu for sides. Their cold prepared offal is very authentic. Anything Salt & Pepper.

Their *Ants Climbing A Tree* is a signature dish.
