We are a group of 4 NYers in Paris for the week and looking for good, affordable bistros or brasseries in the St. Germain area. If anyone has any suggestions, please respond. Thanks!
Brasserie Balzar is on rue des Ecoles; think of Balthazar minus the seafood platters.
Chez Denise across the river near Les Halles, Rue de Prouvaires, 10 minute walk from Magots
fish, cosi, pizza chic, le réminet, le petit zinc
I often stay at a hotel down the street from Pizza Chic and yet, I have never tried it. Is it good? I really don't think of pizza in Paris, but it could be a nice change of pace. How does it compare to good New York pizza or Mozza in LA?
American pizza is a thing of its own. If I had a choice between Modern in New Haven and Pizza chic I don't know what I would chose, probably Modern. Pizza chic is good and expensive.
New Haven has the best pizza in the world. Must go...
La Ferme Saint-Simon, 6 rue de Saint-Simon, phone: 01 45 48 35 74http://www.fermestsimon.com/en/ you will love it!
Fantastic! Thanks, everyone.
It's been awhile but we had a great lunch at the Pont Royal hotel in the 6th at Joël Robuchon restaurant.
Pizzeria Positano on rue des Cannettes
Istanbul on the Upper East Side
