Fave bistros or brasseries in St Germain neighborhood?
We are a group of 4 NYers in Paris for the week and looking for good, affordable bistros or brasseries in the St. Germain area. If anyone has any suggestions, please respond. Thanks!

Brasserie Balzar is on rue des Ecoles; think of Balthazar minus the seafood platters.

I often stay at a hotel down the street from Pizza Chic and yet, I have never tried it. Is it good? I really don't think of pizza in Paris, but it could be a nice change of pace. How does it compare to good New York pizza or Mozza in LA?

American pizza is a thing of its own. If I had a choice between Modern in New Haven and Pizza chic I don't know what I would chose, probably Modern. Pizza chic is good and expensive.
