Meat hooks in Sydney?

Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to source a couple of meathooks in Sydney? I've not had any luck at any of the big cookware/chefs stores.

Hopefully this post doesn't get me on some kind of serial-killer watchlist.

Any help would be great!

Cheers
Sam

Maybe just ask your butcher if you can buy a couple from them? Fraser & Hughes I find are a bit patchy with stock so if you're not nearby to come back and check again next week it would be annoying. Ditto several other industry shops; they tend to be in the city.

Are you using them for meat? Depending on what you're doing maybe you can try stainless steel S hooks. I've hooked pieces of meat on those for making char sui at home, no problem, just need a poke with a knife to get the hook in, but they are available at lots of $2 shops.

Did you try Fraser & Hughes 171 Oxford Street, they specialise in all things sharp - if they don't have them they probably know where you can get them.
