Where can I find Nueske's Bacon?

Are there stores that carry Nueske's Applewood Smoked Bacon in Dallas? Other boutique bacons? Suggestions? I need the instant gratification of store-bought bacon rather than online-bought.

I will admit I have never had Nueske's bacon so I am not sure of the wow factor it posseses. I will say that I have had some good luck with bacons sold at local farmers markets. I am not sure of your flavor profile you are looking for Sam so I can't recommed one over the other. Some good purveyors though would be Oleo Acres and Sloan's Creek. On another note I sampled some of the Olde World Farms bacon from Montgomery, TX at the Bayou City Farmers Market in midtown Houston that was voted best of Houston and I would have to agree with them, very good product and you get a small slab so you can slice your own. Yes I do travel around Texas not all the time but when I visit family in Houston and Austin I make it a point to get as much out of the trip as I can, including visiting the Farmers Markets.

Here is another link from Robb Walsh.

Some stores locally I would hit up for you bacon fix:
    VonGeertsem Butcher Shoppe
    Rudolph's
    Kuby's
    Old Town Market (Lewisville
    )Hirsch's (Plano)
Metzlers (Denton - Londonderrry location...they carry Fischer's products from Muenster, TX)
    David's (Garland)

    Hope this helps!

You can always make mock smoked bacon by getting a pork belly and drizzling some Texas Olive Ranch Mesquite Olive Oil in the pan or rub it down with smoked sweet hungarian paprika.....just throwin ideas out there

I get it at CM all the time and have never had a problem finding the proper meat-to-fat ratio. It's yummy stuff!

i sympathize with the bacon jonesing...
but if order online from nueske's u get a lot more bacon for your money
the packaged ones we have in our local stores are a lot smaller typically not even half a pound...and usually 8-10 bucks...

but u order online u can get at least 2 pounds for only 20$ and with coupon codes for a free pound of bacon with any order
or any of the other coupons/codes they have...

u can get a better deal...
im on their email list..they send me stuff all the time...

2nd twinwillow. Just bought a package of the Nueske's $8.99 bacon at the CM on Lover's in Dallas. Middle, bottom of the packaged meat products over in the Meat section, not at the deli. I did not see it at the Plano store last time I was there. I looked for it at Whole Foods Coit and Preston/Forest this past holiday season and know for sure they don't carry it. Although, they had some wonderful Neiman Ranch applewood smoked ham slices about a 1/2" thick. Made great quiche! :)

Try Kuby's in Snyder Plaza for specialty bacon

Central Market (Dallas) for sure. However, you'll be lucky if you can find a package with a decent meat to fat ratio. Unless of course you prefer your bacon mostly fat. Look through all the packages in the case. Maybe you'll get lucky.

Really? Every packet of Nueske's that I've purchased online has always been much leaner than regular supermarket bacon.

I'm just relaying the experience I've had with Nueske's bacon at CM. It's worth a try, for sure. Just go thru all the packages to find the one that's "just right" for you.
I do that with any bacon I buy.

Also worth noting at CM - they have whole slabs in the deli counter that you can get sliced to your desired thickness. I usually do this because I prefer a thicker bacon.
