Casual place near UCSD, N. County. Preferable gastropubs?

Hello,

I'm planning a small get-together (graduation) with some family and friends in a month or so. I am looking for a low key place to have a late lunch/early dinner near UCSD or North county.

Possibly gastropubs (decent food and beer)- places like the Linkery and Ritual Tavern that is further south. Most of my friends lives in OC and North, so i'm hoping I save them the drive and parking on a Saturday night.

Around 20- per person on food is fine.

Any recommendations? or do we need to make the drive in town??

Ooh, right. There's a PrepKitchen in Del Mar, too (with more seating available). Good suggestion!
